Beer!

Have you ever wondered about some of the beers we offer that you don’t see every day? Here are some reviews to peruse, and perhaps help you select a new brew next time we see you!

Lagunitas Little Sumpin’:
”Poured into a pint glass, it has a nice clear golden body with little carbonation and a beautiful, thick off white head which is bubbly and slowly dissipates. I pick up hints of banana bread, hops, and some citrus fruits to include: grapes, grapefruit and oranges. It has a medium to heavy body that just envelopes your tongue and really warms up your mouth with that alcohol feeling.”
Harpoon UFO White:

“Pours a light grassy hazy yellow gold, white head retains as a film.
Smells of orange citrus and coriander, hint of banana esters and cloves.
Tastes lightly of orange citrus and zest with light grassy malts and coriander.
Light to medium body with light tingles of carbonation On the roof of the mouth.
A pretty good and enjoyable wit, easily sessionable and quite thirst quenching on a warm day.”

Full Sail Amber:

“Pours out a rich clear amber color with a two finger off white head. Head retention is decent with a blanket of foam on top of the ale as well as some lacing.
The aroma is full of sweet toasted caramel malt. Hops are present but balanced. Nothing [in your] face. A very clean amber ale.
The taste emulates the aroma. Clean sweet malt, a touch of mineral water, and a dry spicy hop.
Medium bodied and lightly carbonated, very easy to drink. Finishes semi-dry with a hint of toasted malt lingering.
Hands downs this is an American amber ale that will [I] always look forward to sipping.”

Session Lager:

“Beware! These 11oz stubby bottles go down fast! This all-malt, pre-prohibition style lager will take you back to the roots of brewing in America. It’s golden color and crystal clarity combine  with a smooth, almost sweet taste that keeps this little beer enticing to the very last sip.”

Real Ale Brewhouse Brown:

“Deep, reddish-brown color with a fine, thick off-white head. Fair lacing… Aroma is rich burnt and roasted malts; hints of tobacco; light coffee…faintly earthy hop notes… Softly burnt, caramelized sugars at first taste. A fine, medium strength bitterness at the finish. Nicely balanced. Mostly medium body characteristics. Fine carbonation feels velvety on the tongue. Smooth, somewhat rich finish. A fine brown ale representation. Full flavored wrapped in a delightful medium body. Sweet but not overly so. Rich and complex…”
