Badasses, Cont…

Welcome to installment 2 of our Resident Badass series!

In my last post I promised to introduce you to Elliott, and I am making good on that promise today, folks!

I have to say that when I sat down with Elliott to talk about what makes him tick, it ended up being one of my favorite visits with Flips folk; I really cracked up.  Elliott is one unique fellow…check him out:

Elliott

Elliott is a native Texan and hails from Euless in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  He’s been at Flipnotics for 4 years.  Elliott says his favorite thing about working at Flips is seeing his regular customers, and we suspect that seeing Elliott is maybe his regulars’ favorite thing about Flips.  Besides the amazing coffee, of course.

Outside of work, Elliott listens to lots of music and loves blues, jazz, soul and rap.  He also loves hamburgers.  A lot.  When Elliott was a kid he only liked dry cereal until one fateful day his mom drove him through a Wendy’s.  While her plan was to try to get him going on a Frosty, he tried the patty in his kid’s meal and a love affair with ground beef was born.  Elliott eats hamburgers twice a day.  In an effort to become healthier, he has begun to frequent higher end burger joints that are conscious about their beef.

If you have clapped eyes on Elliott you know that he doesn’t look like a two-burgers-a-day guy.  That’s because he runs 5 miles a day! Impressive.

My favorite music mornings are when Elliott is behind the bar.  Come say hello, listen to some jazz and drink some really great coffee.
