Bands HAAM It Up

HAAM Benefit Day was a record success!  This year there were more businesses participating and more musicians performing than ever!  HAAM raised $312,000 this year; an increase of 33% from last year.  Thanks Austin!  Check out some pics of the folks who helped make it awesome:

It's that time of year again!  Music lovers from home and abroad will converge on Barton Springs at Zilker Park to enjoy one of the finest music festivals in the world. Verily, I speak of ACL Music Festival. What does that mean for your humble neighborhood coffee joint?  It means bring it, bitches. Turkey, Tofu, Brownies and HAAM

Fall is finally rolling in, and we're feeling pretty invigorated by the change in seasons.  We've been working hard to bring you some great things to try, so check out some of the goodies and events we have in store for you! We are really excited about carrying sandwiches from The Green Cart, a local company with a passion for high-quality ingredients and super tasty products!  We've got salami and Gouda, turkey and basil, curried chicken (my personal favorite) and ginger tofu!  We taste-tested each one and hand picked these varieties.  They really are delicious and we recommend having one for lunch on the ...

Hi Austin! We have had our thinking caps on here at Flips and we think you are going to be pretty excited about some of our news! First of all, starting this Saturday, September 8th, we are going to host a morning yoga class in the music room!  The class is the brainchild of our own JohnMark, and will be taught by Vanessa Burden. Vanessa has been practicing yoga since 2001 and received her 200HR Hatha certification through Yoga Yoga in 2010.  She has also completed advanced training with Chase Bossart and Seane Corne as she strives to complete her 500HR certification.  Vanessa's classes are Hatha ...

New Menu Items, New News

We are so excited these days at Flipnotics!  Our awesome staff has been working hard to bring your taste buds some new treats!  You know we have been mixing up Micheladas for a little while, and there is nothing as tangy and delicious for Happy Hour.  Still, that's not all we've got for you to try.  We have recently added a new wine to our list.  It's a Riesling, which many people find is one of their favorite summer sippers. New Members of AGLCC!!!

We have an announcement!  Flipnotics has always been a place of welcome for people of all walks of life, regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation. We've recently decided to take our message of welcome one step further.  Flips has now joined the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce to publicly avow that we stand with our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer and questioning brothers and sisters (and everyone in between) in promoting freedom and equality for all citizens.  Please come by and celebrate with us!
